We want to welcome you to this web presence for Stockbridge Grange.
Ever since 1867 the Grange has been doing all it can to improve
the life of men and women on the farm, in rural areas, and in
cities.
Things like Rural Free Delivery of the US Mail, Rural Electricity
and Blacktop Roads and even the Land Grant Colleges we know today,
like the University of Massachusetts, are the result of efforts
of local Grange members like some folks you might know as neighbors.
The Grange was one of the first organizations to welcome women
with open arms into the decision making ranks of its order. All
the officers of a local Grange may be women, but at least 4 offices
can NOT be held by men.
We invite you to come to our events and perhaps witness a meeting
some 2nd and 4th Friday night. In addition to the serious business
of making life better in our little corner of the world, we have
lots of fun. So come and see why people look forward to Grange
meetings and fondly tell others of the good time they had, and
perhaps something new that they learned that night.
Sincerely,
Joshua Hall, Worthy Master (President)
